Al Watts has 30 years of experience as an independent consultant helping leaders and organizations succeed by aligning people, systems and strategy. He is particularly skilled helping clients define strategic direction, identifying barriers to achieving goals, and helping boards, executive teams and diverse stakeholder groups craft shared commitments for growth. He facilitates experiences for groups that range in size from teams of two to over a hundred participants to establish common ground, agree on direction and solve problems together.
Al previously served in human resources and talent development leadership roles for three corporations, was the charter president of the HR Executive Forum and president of Twin Cities ASTD, and authored Navigating Integrity – Transforming Business s Usual Into Business At It’s Best. He is a frequent presenter and facilitator for professional associations and conferences
Al’s undergraduate degree in business, psychology and communication is from the University of Minnesota, and his Master’s in Organization Development from Bowling Green State University, OH. He is an adjunct professor teaching Strategic Management for Metropolitan State University.
He and his wife Carley are Minneapolis residents. When he can Al enjoys sailing Lake Superior and adventures in Minnesota’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area.
