By George Labovitz, Victor Rosansky
The authors agree with my perspective that relationships among parts of an organization are as important as the parts themselves. Specifically, Labovitz and Rosansky, former Chair and EVP of Organizational Dynamics respectively, clearly explain how to link people, processes and leadership with markets and strategy to achieve breakthrough results. The authors make important distinctions between vertical (organizational alignment) and horizontal (connecting with customers) alignment, providing practical tools to achieve both. As I do, they also make an important distinction between “alignment” the noun and “aligning” the verb – a capacity for making ongoing adjustments.
